The needs of fishermen are a compromise for us. There were several requests for VEGA to create a model suitable for fishing on cliffs such as Sagres and others where it is necessary to fish vertically and in a more “raw” way. The idea was to ensure that a rod capable of meeting the needs of buoy fishermen in “extremely complicated” areas would be created.

VEGA SAGRES 5.30 MT. It is a very powerful and reliable semi-parabolic action telescopic rod, developed for buoy fishing from elevated areas such as cliffs, pontoons or rocky cliffs. Its length of 5.30 meters is suitable for fishing in these areas with adverse conditions.

Made of High Modulus (HMC) carbon, one of VEGA’s most advanced, with PTR (Power Tape Reinforcement) reinforcement, equipped with SIC anti-shock guides (guides that prevent twisting in vertical fishing) and tubular reel holders (essential to ensure safety in these areas), the VEGA SAGRES 5.30 MT. It has a wide and powerful action from 40 to 150 grams, providing a progressive and effective response in the release and “working” of the fish. This compact model features 6 sections, making it easy for the fisherman to carry and store.

We are therefore confident that we have in our “hands” a robust and balanced rod, which offers the necessary confidence to “Hardcore” buoy fishermen, whose characteristics adapt to the needs of fishing at height on the most difficult cliffs of the Iberian panorama.
