One of VEGA’s bets last year was the creation of a range of defenders that would cover the needs of Iberian fishing grounds.

One of the models where we paid the most attention to detail was in the KAMIKAZE. This luxurious model was thoroughly tested for many months by our experts in the field to ensure that we presented a superior quality spear.

This compact and asymmetrical model with a metallic holographic texture, provides an oscillating and slow descent (“dead leaf” type), simulating natural prey in difficulty, which increases the attractiveness for fish, especially during the downward movement, when the overwhelming majority of attacks occur.

In this model, we recommend a moderate to slow linear collection, however, the spear must be animated through linear collection, with pauses, tip touches and speed variations, adapting to the behavior of the fish and the sea conditions.

The KAMIKAZE spear has an aerodynamic shape, and its balanced weight allows for large throws and attractive movements, making it easier to reach more distant areas and work the spear effectively, both in vertical jigging in boat fishing and in casting on the beach or rocky areas.

Its 3D eyes and ultra-resistant paint work further increase its effectiveness and durability, even after the constant attack of fish and clashes with the surrounding aquatic environment.

In the elaboration of this specific model, we thought of 3 weights (20gr./30gr./40gr.) capable of ensuring the needs of spinning and light jigging in the estuary and at low and moderate depths at sea.

“I prefer defenders with assists than those that bring fateixas, because they trap less in the back and are even more effective”.

We tested various color options, and we chose 4 (AYU, PINK SARDINE, METAL SARDINE AND SARDINE), the ones that showed the best results in catching sea bass, croaker and snapper.

All models come with a double assist near the head (which allows total freedom of the body of the spear in its work and avoids arrests near the bottom), with holographic feathers for greater attraction of predators.
